If you use a credit card, your card company must report your identity theft to the bureau.
If you’re a student or a parent, you may be able to set your student card up for online transactions, and you can set up transactions with a parent or legal guardian.

If your bank doesn’t respond within 24 minutes, you must follow up with the bureau within 60 days.
If the bureau is unable to provide your bank with a response within 60, 72, 90 or 120 days, you are encouraged to pursue legal action.
