How to spot the fake news on the internet, from viral videos to the “alabama report”

NEW YORK — A man has been charged with attempted murder after he was found hanging from a rope in a park, authorities said.

Authorities say the man was hanging from the rope in front of the Central Park Zoo and asked for his life to be spared, according to the New York City Police Department.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force says the man had a rope tied around his neck and was hanging in Central Park’s Park Zoo when he was spotted by police.

Police say the person was identified as a black man.

The man was found in a field in the park, suffering from apparent strangulation.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police report does not say why the man hanged, but police say he was hanging on the rope from the roof of a vehicle.

The vehicle was later found abandoned at a nearby park.
