Posted October 04, 2018 07:04:00The Eagles’ offense looks like it’s going to be a big part of their success.
That’s why it’s worth watching the game, as we do each week, whether or not the team is in a good position.
For this game, we’ll break down the Eagles injury report and look at how things are trending right now.
The Eagles have had some issues at running back in the past couple of weeks.
They went down to running back Zach Ertz on Sunday, and they have had a few key injuries that have limited their options.
Ertz missed practice on Tuesday and was listed as questionable on Wednesday.
His status is up in the air for Thursday.
Eagles running back Jordan Matthews and tight end Zach Erwin also sat out Wednesday’s practice.
The team said Erwin will not be able to practice again Thursday and Matthews is listed as doubtful.
Ertz missed all of last season after undergoing surgery on a torn ACL.
The team had a bye week, and now that they have a week off to recover, the Eagles have two weeks of games in eight days.
That gives the team enough time to evaluate the status of their injury situation.
The injury report shows the Eagles are in a very good position right now with their injury woes.
Running back Matt Barkley was out with a hamstring injury and is expected to be back this week.
The Eagles have also had some key injuries on the offensive line that limited their effectiveness.
Erwin was out for the first two weeks and now has been ruled out for Friday.
Eagles tight end Jordan Matthews was out of practice all week.
His injury is questionable for Thursday, but he has been limited to practice the past few weeks.
There is still some concern about the offensive tackles situation.
Center Nick Fairley is questionable with a back injury.
Tight end Zach Miller is questionable, but the Eagles still have him listed as probable.
That leaves offensive tackle Evan Mathis as the only certainty with a torn MCL in his left knee.
He was limited to all of practice on Wednesday, but is listed with a low grade.
It’s not as if the Eagles had a great week of practice, either.
The running back depth chart doesn’t look that great, with Ertz, Matthews, Erwin and Erwin’s injury all listed as out.
The only player to practice in full was Erwin.
That left three other players out with injuries: wide receiver Jarius Wright (knee), tight end Desean Jackson (back), and cornerback E.J. Biggers (shoulder).
It was a small group.
The offense looks to be in great shape right now, and it will be very interesting to see if it can continue to improve against the Titans.
The Titans have had the league’s third-worst rushing attack so far this season.
