Seahawks QB Alex Smith to miss at least another week due to knee injury

Russell Wilson has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns because of a knee injury suffered on the sideline during the third quarter.

The Seahawks quarterback was seen on video walking off the field on crutches following the Seahawks’ 31-28 loss to the New England Patriots.

He had been seen limping and not moving during the game, which was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Wilson will miss two games and a portion of the regular season, which opens in Dallas on Nov. 4.

He was injured in the second half of the Seahawks 35-10 loss to Philadelphia on Sept. 30.

The Seahawks are 8-5 in his absence.

Wilson’s status for the rematch with the 49ers will likely be determined on Thursday.
